Standing Ovations together with Magic 91.7 is giving local dancers the opportunity of a lifetime: an exclusive master class with the world-famous ice dancers from the Saint Petersburg State Ballet On Ice.

A chosen few will learn to dance on ice with the world-famous Russian ice performers who are performing the Swan Lake on ice here in Malta for the first time at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, which shall be transformed into a grand and spectacular ice arena.

Standing Ovations Ltd is presenting the Swan Lake On Ice spectacular on January 10th and 11th at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

A representative at Standing Ovations said: "The magnificent music of Tchaikovsky and the plot of Swan Lake are virtually predestined to be converted into ice rink choreography. The audience is whisked away when the ballerinas apparently weightlessly glide over the ice surface with swan-like movement".

The St Petersburg State Ballet On Ice (formerly the Leningrad State Ballet) was founded in 1967 by the outstanding choreographer Konstantin Boyarsky, and is the successor of the remarkable traditions of the St Petersburg School of classical ballet.
